      Yes we all know it use to be A-B-C but AHA ( American Heart Association ) has changed it completely around! Why? The arrangement of the letters were once: A-Airway, B-Breathing, and C-Compressions. People who needed to preform CPR were spending too much time focusing on the airway and breathing, when the real problem was in the heart. If they have no pulse, then they have no heart beat, then they have no blood circulating, and this means no blood is getting to the organs in their body. This could leave a person brain dead or worse; it could cause death. Hopefully now you can understand the reason for change and how this could save so many lives.       C-Compressions: if the victim has no pulse it is best to start with compressions, after checking for breathing signs.
